I think there is nothing an acoustic guitar can't do. I have spent the past five years studying all different types of acoustic music and it's great that I can now pass my knowledge onto students.
Below are some samples of my playing.
24K Magic - Bruno Mars
Cavatina - Stanley Myers, John Williams
There has been somewhat of an acoustic guitar renaissance in the past few years. Mumford and Sons, Passenger and Ben Howard have had albums and singles that have topped worldwide charts. Ed Sheeran has seemingly taken over the world as well with his acoustic tinged pop. With the acoustic guitar you can cover pop, folk, reggae, soul and pretty much any other style.
Here 's a video of me playing a fingerpicking version of 24K Magic by Bruno Mars.
Classical guitar requires more discipline to learn than other styles, however it can be a very rewarding journey.
As part of my classical guitar lessons I can teach reading of standard music notation.
